Freemans Park is the modernist housing precinct in park-like grounds which were considered to be a break-through in urban housing design when it was created by the Council as public housing in the 1960’s. The development contains 201 units occupied by a mixture of owners and tenants and it includes large park like grounds that are common property.
Given the diverse mix of residents, common areas and associated facilities, the Body Corporate wanted clarity for unit owners on their future long term maintenance plan options, this was of particular importance given the older nature of the development and the need to ensure that the common areas were maintained to such a standard that the capital asset was not affected.
